This fried rice dish goes beyond the usual takeout—pork and prawns are an authentic Chinese combination worthy of trying out at home.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
¼ pound cooked ham, diced
¼ pound peeled prawns
½ cup peas
6 green onions, sliced
2 eggs, lightly beaten
3 cups cooked white rice, cold
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Directions:
1) Heat oil in a wok over high heat. Add ham and prawns; cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add peas and onions; cook until peas turn bright green, about 1 minute, stirring. Add eggs and stir to scramble, about 2 minutes.
